I came across this website cubeecraft which has a lot of characters that can be printed on your printer, then cut out the pieces and fold. It has a rating system that tells you the difficulty of the projects but most seem to be quite easy. Check it out! I plan on making a few.

Summer is almost over...nothing better than to spend the day at the pool. Our best friend came down to visit us so we hung out to catch some sun and to cool off at the pool.

The kids went to their first pony birthday party. They had a lot of fun playing with the other kids and riding the cute pony. It was so hot that day! We enjoyed good food and good company!

I was browsing through flickr and found these illustrations of Ani Castillo. I like the use of lines in her artwork as well as the colors she uses. I like the originality of her work.

At first I made this bag without the heart appliqués but then when I finished them, I thought they looked tooo plain. As you can probably tell by now, I have a thing for hearts...so I added some heart appliqués. I am much happier with the final look ^_^!

Mairuru is a cute shop on Etsy that makes coasters, handbags, pot holders and lovely patchwork goodies. It reminds me of the cute zakka goodness you will see in Japanese craft books with her own design and style.

I wanted to keep up with my blog but it is definitely harder than it seems. I did not realize it has been over a month since my last post. I am happy to say that I accomplished some sewing! YAY! I made two totes similar to the patchwork heart totes but instead I made these totes using denim and canvas.
