Yay! I just finished another handbag. I am really happy on how this bag turned out. The handle part of the bag was a lot more trickier than I thought it would be but I was patient and actually learned a thing or two with sewing curves.
rosie music creates art as well as these cute handbags in her etsy shop. The colors and shape of her bags along with her cute teapot appliqués are reminiscent of vintage airline bags. Maybe that's just me...but I do love them!
I love these clothes!! I love the off the shoulder dress made by nostalgia with the fun patchwork applique that she used to create a one of kind dress. I love the vintage over-sized shirt with a black flower applique found by oh leoluca. Lastly, the simplicity of the tunic with the mandarin collar, 3/4 sleeve gathered at the hem and front yoke makes this piece a must have for me. Made by vain and vapid

Today has been a productive day for me. I was able to clean the house, finish up some bags, and take some photos of the bags. I had a few more ideas for some new bags so I sat down...took a breather and drew away ^_^... Started on a new pattern for a bag. I wish I could have more days like these...
I love looking at all the talented crafters on Etsy. While looking around I found a really cute shop with handbags, pillows, stationary, and plushies. I absolutely love everything in her shop, *Cuore*. You can find her here on Etsy.
After class I usually stop by this thrift shop before heading home. They have an arts and crafts section where they have fabrics, felt, notions, and old craft books. I found these books or craft journals from the 70's, which had so much fun and interesting things to make. I will post some of the projects that are in the books with instructions and patterns later.
Since I have a small break, I started to sew again. I made some handbags. The thing I hate the most is cutting fabric. Only if I could pay someone to do it for me...:P The joy of actually making your own, from start to finish is reward in itself. A sense of pride of what I have actually accomplished. But geez, it seems like it takes so long to finish a project.
I am a full time mommy with 2 girls, a toddler and my new baby. I would love to have my own studio one day so that I can have a place to work and show off my stuff.
wishful thinking...
